What are the age requirements for Janus Productions?

As a youth-oriented organization, the designated age range for our shows shall be 13-25. However, this limit may be flexible on a per-show basis, so if you are just above or below this designated group, you are welcome to audition still.

Do I need to have stage experience to get a part in a Janus show?

Absolutely not. We welcome newcomers to the stage with arms wide open, and, in fact, hope that new artists decide to make their debuts with us. We are about opportunities, and the ability to help you foster your interests and talents is a big priority for us!

What venues would Janus Productions give me the opportunity to perform in?

Janus Productions will be operating on a production-to-production basis. Theoretically, there may be a different director for each Janus show, and with each director comes a unique set of preferences. However, Janus productions will take place in quality theatres here in the city, as a general rule of thumb, with the exception of possible events such as dinner theatres.

Would I get paid for participating in a Janus show?

Janus shows are volunteer-based productions. However, depending on the success of any particular show, honorariums may be issued at the director's discretion.

What would be the time commitment for rehearsals, etc. with Janus Productions shows?

As youth and students ourselves, the organizers of Janus understand how hard it can be to juggle school, work, and social lives. Janus Productions will not dominate your life or schedule, but rather will take place at regularly scheduled and organized times. Within reason, our production teams will also aim to be as accommodating as possible with our artists' busy schedules.
